Safety on Campus - Your Right to Know
Cal State San Bernardino places the highest priority on your safety, and we rely on community members to share our commitment and actively participate in creating a safe and secure living, learning, and working environment. In compliance with the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act (The Clery Act), the University's annual security report includes statistics for the previous three years concerning reported crimes that occurred on or around the campus. You can obtain a printed copy of the report by accessing it at http://adminfin.csusb.edu/police/safetyreport.htm, or by contacting University Police Records at (909) 537-3552, and a copy of the report will be mailed to you.
Drug Free Schools and Campuses Act of 1989
The Drug Free Schools and Campuses Act of 1989 requires that all students be notified annually of Cal State San Bernardino's Policy Regarding the Sale, Consumption and Possession of Alcoholic Beverages. The Biennial Review Report on Alcohol and Other Drugs Programs and Policies is available for review in the office of the Vice President for Student Affairs, University Hall 231.
Privacy Rights of Students in Education Records
The federal Family Education Rights and Privacy Act of 1974 (FERPA), and regulations adopted subsequent to the Act, set out requirements designed to protect students' privacy in their records maintained by the university. The university has incorporated FERPA into our Student Records Administration Policy, which can be accessed at http://policies.csusb.edu/student_records_administration.htm. The Equity in Athletics Disclosure Act
In compliance with the Equity in Athletics Disclosure Act (EADA), the Cal State San Bernardino Athletics Department reports required information to the NCAA and directly to prospective students being offered an athletic grant and to their parents. This information includes athletic graduation rates, the number of male and female athletes on campus, the expenses and athletic aid spent on each sport, recruiting expenses, annual revenue and salaries for all coaches. The Act can be accessed at http://www.ope.ed.gov/athletics. Data on athletic program participation rates and financial support can be accessed at http://www.ope.ed.gov/athletics/Search.asp. The Act and data on athletic program participation rates and graduation rates of athletes can also be obtained by calling the Athletics Department at (909) 537-5011.
Completion of Degrees and Graduation Rate Information
Graduation rates for full-time, first-time undergraduates can be accessed at http://nces.ed.gov/ipeds/cool. Search for "California State University-San Bernardino". The information is also displayed by gender and by ethnicity. Degree completion and graduation rates can also be obtained by calling the Office of Institutional Research at (909) 537-5052.
Financial Aid Information
Consumer disclosure information relating to financial aid includes: cost of attendance, description of need and non-need aid types, application procedures and processes, student eligibility requirements, students rights and responsibilities, criteria for selection of recipients and awarding funds, disbursement information, refund and repayment policies, satisfactory academic progress policy for financial aid, and financial aid availability for students abroad.
